As part of the production team on one of my first studio shoots, I gained valuable insight into the workflow and technical setup required for professional video production.

Under the mentorship of my manager, I was trained in:

  • Cable Management: Learned the importance of proper cable coiling techniques to avoid equipment damage and ensure safety on set. I assisted in identifying the correct cables for different components and coordinated the setup of multiple camera systems.
  • Camera Operation & Angles: Gained hands-on experience setting up 2–3 cameras per shoot to capture wide, side, and close-up shots. This taught me the importance of dynamic visual storytelling and the role of B-roll in maintaining audience engagement.
  • Subject Placement & Framing: Developed an understanding of how subject positioning affects shot composition and emotional tone. I applied framing techniques to enhance visual impact and support the narrative.

This experience gave me a foundational understanding of video production and deepened my appreciation for the technical and creative decisions that go into crafting a professional video.
