Enhancing Classroom Accessibility: ECU’s Approach

Last semester, we filmed a video about the importance of accessibility in the classroom. We interviewed for students on their favorite accessibility features and how ECU accommodates them. Watch here as we highlight the ways East Carolina University prioritizes their students needs.

All interviews shots were filmed in our campus studio. My advisor, John Bowling, gave me the freedom to choose lighting for the situation. He helped me understand how to create a diverse lighting scenario in a basic room. During the shoot, I helped monitor audio to ensure the quality was top tier and no bad background sound. John has showed me how important lighting and audio is for producing a professional video. It gives it an extra element and “wow factor” to the professionalism of the production.

The B-Roll captured by Mr. Bowling was on ECU campus, showcasing not only our students working hard but the beauty of our university.
